I am a freshman here at American University. As an intended print journalism major, I couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity! I’m from Houston, Texas, so while the change in climate is a little different, I love everything about school so far. In high school, I was involved in a pretty wide variety of activities, including B’Nai Brith Youth Organization, United Synagogue Youth, writing a weekly column for a Jewish newspaper called The Jewish-Herald Voice, writing for my school newspaper, and more. I can’t wait to get more involved in the active Jewish community here on campus, and to keep exploring this exciting city!
