How many times have you heard this stereotype: Jews are cheap; Jews are stingy. At Northwestern, that may not be the case anymore. Hillel’s Phonathon has returned for the winter and pays participants nine dollars an hour. Not too shabby to call a fellow Jew and raise money for Jewish programming on campus.
Did I mention that you also get free snacks? Can’t get more Jewish than something to nosh on while you do your work.
Sign up to participate in the Phonathon from Tuesday, Feb. 27 to Thursday, March 1 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Fiedler Hillel Center.
It raised almost $58,000 in the fall in two weeks.
