Veretski Pass is playing a free concert on February 20th at the Smith Music Hall on the U of I Quad at 7 pm. They have been chosen twice as ambassadors representing Jewish music of Eastern Europe for the German Exhibition of Klezmer History, and headlined the Jewish World Music Festival in London. The trio is named after the Veretski mountain pass in the Carpathian Mountains, through which emigrating Jews first settled in 696 AD.
