Bloomington Organized Synagogue Youth, Bloomington’s branch of the North American Federation of Temple Youth trick-or-treated for food to donate to Hoosier Hills Food Bank this evening. This event was organized by high school sophomore Lisi Kent-Isaac.
The BOSY advisor, senior Hannah Berman, and Hillel President Joanna Blotner accompanied and worked with the high-schoolers as they gathered several bags full of food for the city’s poor.
“I think it went really well,” said Berman, “but we could always use more people.”
If you’re interested in taking part in charity around town, there are several places that could use your help:
- Hoosier Hills
- Shalom Community Center
- Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard
- Habitat for Humanity
- Community Kitchen
