Israel’s chart-topping band Hadag Nachash performed in Montreal on Monday, September 11th. Their appearance was publicized to the extreme by Hillel through both multiple emails and flyers available at their welcome back BBQ. The number of confirmed guests on the Facebook event (a fairly accurate indicator of an event’s turnout) along with those “maybe attending” totalled a whopping 84 attendees; however, the turnout at the large Montreal venue was shockingly small. Perhaps due to the spacious size of the club, the high ticket prices, or the day of the week, the crowd at the concert was much smaller than many expected. Hadag Nachash’s popularity among the Jewish community was not at all evident in the small audience.
